As I was responding to an email today, I decided was time to quit telling myself that I was gathering work to create a blog so that I could try to launch a web store and actually create the blog. Even if I don't have time to create every day, I can at least post stuff that I've done in the past, or document my ideas for myself...
So I bought my domain and am opening my blog. Watch out world - here I come... one baby step at a time!

- Hatterschmuck is sort of a family name, but I think there is a little schmuck in all of us, at least when we first set out to try to be creative. My goal is eventually to earn a living (or at least supplement my living) with my creativity. And it seems that everyone who manages to do this starts out with a blog. I have been crafting in some form or another since grade school. Ceramics in girl scouts, plastic canvas with my mother, knitting with my grandmother, crocheting with my father, painting miniatures with my boyfriend, sewing for my daughter... it led to beading, scrapbooking, cardmaking, quilting. I don't feel that I'm an overly artistic person, so the more I can nurture my creativity, the better I feel.
